Wolmer's Boys secure second title

Paul-Andre Walker, Staff Reporter

WOLMER'S BOYS' Under-18 team secured two titles in as many competitions when they won the third annual Inter-Secondary Schools Water Polo tourney.

Holy Childhood and Wolmer's Girls were also big winners as action concluded at the National Stadium Pool last night.

Wolmer's girls won the 14 and under competition, followed by Holy Childhood, and St. Andrew. Campion, Alpha and Immaculate rounded out the other places.

In the girls 18 and under competition, Holy Childhood went one better than their younger counterparts, getting one over on the highly fancied Campion, who ended second, with Immaculate third, and St. Andrew finishing just outside of medal contention. Wolmer's Girls ended in fifth position.

In the boys section it was all Wolmer's Boys, as they outdid Campion in the race for the title to add to their second place finish in the league earlier this year.

LEAGUE TITLE

While Wolmer's 18 and under team added to their league title with a victory last night, after winning their final and deciding game against St. George's 14-5.

The best female goalkeeper was Jhenell Johnson of Campion, while Wolmer's Ewan Olivier received the same accolades in the Boys' section.
