Trials open to 24 juniors

 
THE JAMAICA Squash Association (JSA) yesterday named 24 players to start
training for the Junior Caribbean Squash Champion-ships to be held in Trinidad & Tobago in July.

Gill Binnie, manager of the team, said that between March 24 and April 3 the squad will be reduced and the final team of 12 will be announced on June 26.

The team will consist of six boys and six girls, with one reserve.

Jamaica are the current Caribbean boys' team champions and are expected to be led again by star player Chris Binnie.

The players selected for trial are:

Girls ? Brooke Burrowes, Chanel Nielsen, Kristine Bell, Lauren Mahfood, Lauren McClure, Laurian Lue Yen, Leisa Robotham, Loya Lambie and Tracy Binnie.

Boys ? Ashante Smith, Bruce Burrowes, Chris Binnie, Dane Schwier, David Lawrence, Dilup Mahipalamudali, Jake Mahfood, Jason Lewis, Jordan Schwier, Josh Mahfood, Kyle Gregg, Malik Rattray, Sean Reynolds, Shak Jones and Stephen Reid.
