BRISBANE, Australia (CMC):

Opener Sunil Ambris reeled off an exciting century to fire West Indies Under-19s to a comfortable 146-run win over Namibia Under-19s in their second and final warm-up match for the for the ICC Youth World Cup here yesterday.

The right-hander hit 103 as West Indies, winning the toss and batting at the University No. 2 Oval, raced to 328 for seven off their allotted 50 overs.

In reply, Namibia struggled to 182 all out off 46.4 overs, with 18-year-old Jano Coetzee top-scoring with a wonderful 89.

Fast bowlers Ronsford Beaton (4-43) and Marquino Mindley (3-18) rocked Namibia to set up the win.

The victory was the Young Windies' second in as many days after they beat hosts Australia by 13 runs on Tuesday.

Ambris and Keron Joseph (30) gave West Indies a measured start before aggressive Jamaican John Campbell (78) and Anthony Alleyne (68) smashed high octane half-centuries to up the tempo. Campbell faced a mere 55 balls and hit six fours and three sixes.
