National players, Mark Lewis and Dany Wilson, the top-ranked beach volleyball team in the Caribbean, will depart the island tomorrow to defend their Sizzlin' Sands Beach Volleyball crown in Barbados.
The team returns on November 3 and is sponsored by the national carrier, Air Jamaica.

Lewis and Wilson, who are regarded as the best emerging talent in the region, will be key players when Jamaica host one leg of the North, Central America and the Caribbean Beach Volleyball Tournament June 24-29 next year. Jamaica will also host round two of the men's World Championships qualifiers from May 17-24, 2009 in Kingston.

Meanwhile, training for the national male and female senior squads will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the G.C. Foster College Gymnasium, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
