Tivoli Compressors claim President's Cup

 
Tivoli Compressors won their third consecutive Jamaica Public Service (JPS)/President's 'A' League title following a close 30-29 victory over Alexandra Electric on Sunday, at the Leila Robinson Courts.

Tivoli Compressors took charge of the match from the opening whistle and romped to a 17-14 lead at half-time.

Alexandra Electric rallied strongly in the second half but the Sylvester Campbell-coached Tivoli Compressors hung on for the victory.

JPS Turbines claimed the 'B' crown after an easy 21-10 victory over Ken's Volts.

Tivoli Compressors took home $50,000 for their effort, while Alexandra Electric received $25,000. The JPS Turbines collected $35,000 for winning the 'B' league while Ken's Volts received $15,000 for second place.

Ken's Volts and Tivoli Compressors captured the Vilma McDonald trophy for the best defensive teams while Three Miles Rockers and Alexandra Electric took home the Barbara Buckley-Jones trophy for being the best offensive teams in the competition.

Ken's Volts also won the Sharon Donaldson trophy for the most-disciplined team.
